Iron and Myth 4: The Fall of the Watchers

THE SONS OF GOD saw that the daughters of men were fair, and they took as their wives any they chose.

This story is at the root of many of the spiritual practices of the ancient world—pagan, Jewish, and Christian.

But when did the transgression of the bene ha-elohim take place?

We’re joined again by screenwriter and novelist Brian Godawa, pastor and author Doug Van Dorn (https://douglasvandorn.com/), and archaeologist and author Dr. Judd Burton (burtonbeyond.com/) for our latest edition of Iron and Myth. We discuss the fall of the Watchers, including some fascinating passages in Numbers and Isaiah that may be prophecies of the ultimate destruction of the rebellious Watchers and their hybrid offspring, the Nephilim.

Panel Discussion: Ancient Myths, Legends, the Bible and the Shocking Truth. Part 1

From Derek’s Channel: It’s a virtual roundtable this week as we’re joined by three men who have invested a lot of time and energy into untangling scripture from myths and legends of the ancient world to understand why the Hebrew prophets and apostles were led to include giants in the Bible.

Taking part in the discussion, which may well become a regular feature, are:
* Author and screenwriter Brian Godawa (www.godawa.com)
* Pastor and author Doug Van Dorn (www.douglasvandorn.com)
* Archaeologist, historian, author, and teacher Dr. Judd Burton (www.burtonbeyond.com, www.tioba.org)

Among other topics, we discuss the motives of the rebellious “sons of God” referred to in Genesis 6:1–4, how they hope to escape the sentence of death God proclaimed in Psalm 82, and whether verse 1 of that psalm describes a courtroom scene in God’s divine council or His intrusion into the “council of El,” creator-god of the pagan Canaanites.

Podcast: Godawa on View from the Bunker all about Jezebel: Harlot Queen of Israel

JEZEBEL GETS too much credit for the evil in the world today. Jezebel spirit? She was human, so she’s dead and her spirit is powerless.

However, there were spirits behind Jezebel, and it’s them we have to be concerned with.

Award-winning Hollywood screenwriter Brian Godawa is back to talk about his new novel, Jezebel: Harlot Queen of Israel, Book 1 in his Chronicles of the Watchers series. We discuss Jezebel, Ahab, the gods of ancient Tyre and Samaria, and why Brian chose to use Jehu, one of Ahab’s military commanders, as a major character in the novel instead of the prophet Elijah.

View From the Bunker Podcast: Revolt of the Jews and the End Times. It’s Not What You Think

I was on View from the Bunker with Derek Gilbert to talk about my new book Resistant: Revolt of the Jews and the Book of Revelation.

Derek and I have very opposing beliefs and Derek is very successful in his world of Bible prophecy so he was very kind to have me on his show even though we disagree fundamentally on these issues.

Where we do agree is on the Divine Council in the Scriptures and the Watcher paradigm.

We talk a little bit about all that on this very engrossing discussion.

You won’t want to skip this one.

Nephilim in the Gospel: Jesus Triumphant – Interview on View From the Bunker

NEPHILIM IN the New Testament? Surely Brian Godawa has stretched his Chronicles of the Nephilim series at least one book too far!

But no! Brian joins us to discuss his latest novel, Jesus Triumphant: Chronicles of the Nephilim Book Eight, and makes the case that the giants who caused so much trouble throughout the history of Israel were still in the land for one last attempt at preventing the Messiah from completing his mission.

Please join Derek and Sharon Gilbert each Sunday for the Gilbert House Fellowship, our Bible study podcast. Log on to www.GilbertHouse.org for more details.
