Eschaton Podcast: How the Watchers Were Judged in the Last Days of the First Century

I had a great interview with Joshua Wisely on Eschaton podcast. Here is what he wrote:

Brian Godawa returns to the show to continue a fascinating discussion we had earlier this year about Preterism and the likelihood that the majority of โ€œend timesโ€ prophecies mentioned in the Book of Revelation, which millions of people around the world expect to be fulfilled in the future, have already been realized in the past. And if thatโ€™s not enough to pique your interest, thereโ€™s more!

We also talk about the mysterious entities known as โ€œThe Watchersโ€ or โ€œThe Sons of Godโ€, who are mentioned in mythological texts throughout the ancient Middle East and Mesopotamia. We try to gain a better understanding of the role they played in ancient cosmology and whether or not they have any influence in the world today.

Additionally, we get Brianโ€™s perspective on whether or not prophecies can have a โ€œdouble fulfillmentโ€ or if history shows us that theyโ€™re always one and done. Then, to round out the episode, he shares his thoughts on the identity of the โ€œtwo witnessesโ€ mentioned in chapter 11 of the Book of Revelation. Itโ€™s an interpretation that I had never heard before and one that youโ€™ll want to chew on for a while!
